On Tuesday technology professionals from all around the DMV convened at Betamore in Baltimore for the Tech Jobs Tour.
The event was well attended and had an extremely diverse set of both job seekers and mentors.
I spent some time participating in speed mentoring and it was not only rewarding but great to see the amount of talented and diverse talent in Baltimore.
Some great speakers also showed up — Khalilah Harris from Opportunity@Work provided us with some empowering words.
Later in the evening Megan Smith the CTO of the United States during the Obama administration gave a quick talk. One of the takeaways from her speech was that the best way to diversify tech is to techify everything.
She stuck around after to participate in the third round of speed mentoring. How awesome is that?!
